In this case, you’d want to take your units around your Senso so you can grab enemies, give them with, then pulverize them with your nearby tanks. Rinse, repeat, and slowly inch your forces up to their main base.

This could all sound pretty standard for a shot based strategy game, but this hard to fully emphasize the level of refinement the whole thing has seen. Session lengths are tuned to be very in five minutes through a clever implementation of abilities that can drastically change the surge of combat and effectively make it pretty difficult for a ready to pull on. That appears to be the mindset after the Very Senso UI, now that you can get deep and bring up all sorts of information, but the typical turn just involves moving units in and attacking others, so why not do that while seamless as possible? Everything is now done with taps directly on the field to start and attack, which sort of makes you wonder if other turn-based strategy games really needed all the complicated UI elements they typically came filled with.

So, it all sounds pretty cool, but the future of the game looks even brighter when you look at the guys after the mission: The basic team includes folks who have spent time with Nintendo, Sony, Riot, Square Enix, Blizzard and EVE Online’s CCP Games. So, you’ve not just got an office filled with folks who genuinely get what makes for a fun gameplay experience that will be to gain actual gamers, but they’re able to call in benefit from serious industry heavy hitters.
